About our clinic director:

Dr. Michael Kalden, M.D., is founder and president of the “Gesellschaft Biologische Medizin” (Society of Biological Treatment), an institution for supporting research work in the area of biological medicine. This Society as well as the Kalden Clinic, represent the culmination of a lifetime of education and experience.

Dr. Kalden studied medicine at Marburg and Berlin Universities, and in 1984 passed the state examination at the “Freie Universitat” of Berlin, and that same year received his Doctorate in Human Genetics from the University of Gottingen. After a period as a physician assistant in a clinic in Namibia, he began his career in Oncology (the study of cancer), with studies in internal medicine, gynecology, dermatology, urology and general practice. In 1988 he passed his exams in general medicine (Munich), along with his exams in naturopathy.

While finishing his education and exams, he had already become assistant medical director at the Veramed Clinic for internal medicine and oncology in Brannenburg, holding this position from 1987-89, and this experience became the beginning of his idea to develop his own concept of a clinic focused on holistic cancer treatment.

In 1989 Dr. Kalden opened the Veramed hospital in a clinic for holistic cancer therapy, as chief medical director. The basis of Dr. Kalden’s unique approach is the concept of combining classical cancer treatment with extensive naturopathy. He believes strongly that it is ‘not only the tumor that needs to be treated, but the whole person’. Dr. Kalden feels that better and longer term results can only be seen if all possible approaches are used to maximize the function of the immune system.

In 2006 Dr. Kalden went to Dortmund to finally open his own private clinic. This allows him to spend more time with each patient and completely individualize all of the therapies. He continues his research in tumor development, utilizing new methods of diagnosis. He is involved in developing the new generation of CRT (Contact Regulation Thermography) in cooperation with Eidam Diagnostics Corporation, where he is Chief Scientific Director. In a short time, the Dr. Kalden and the Kalden Clinic team have developed a strong international reputation, with patients coming for treatment from all over Germany, as well as from Italy, Switzerland, France, Greece, England, South Africa, Cyprus, New Zealand and North America.
